Every year since then, she has amazingly produced four lambs each year. This year’s quadruplets brought her tally over the course of five years to 20.
The birth rate for the ewe is unsurprisingly a record for the farm run by Ann and Mervyn Bourke. However, there is no sign of slowing down, and the pair hopes that she will give them plenty more lambs in future lambing seasons.
Two of the lambs from this year’s quadruplets will be reared by hand.
