The Castlecourt Hotel’s Ciara Faherty, alongside Westport Hotel Group proprietors Joe and Anne-Marie Cororan, receiving the Irish Hotel Foundations's Employee of the Year award for 2025
Mayo woman Ciara Faherty was presented with the prestigious Employee of the Year award at the Irish Hotel Federation’s national ceremony.
At the event, Ciara was presented with the honour for her service to the Castlecourt Hotel in Westport. The Westport native previously won the regional version of the award in Breaffy House in January.

Ciara has worked for the hotel in the heart of Westport for ten years since graduating from ATU Sligo and currently serves as an Over 55’s Group Co-Ordinator with Castlecourt Hotel’s Sales and Marketing.
Also present at the awards ceremony were Joe and Anne-Marie Corcoran, the proprietors of the Castlecourt Hotel.
“We are so lucky to work alongside someone as talented and inspiring as Ciara,” the hotel stated on their social media.
“This recognition is a reflection of Ciara’s dedication and passion to the hospitality industry.”
