The female-led film tells the story of a recently homeless Dublin taxi driver, who captures a ‘scandalous affair’ involving a famous model on her dash cam. What follows is described as ‘a gripping tale of blackmail and moral tension’.
Michael Carolan, the writer and director of the movie, believes that the movie’s protagonist, Ngozi, is someone audiences will strike a chord with from across Ireland.
“‘Night Driver’ is an attempt to reflect the real struggles faced by many people in modern Ireland,” he stated.
“Ngozi is one of us, an ordinary person fighting to survive in desperate times. Any of us could relate to her choices – and any of us could become her.”
‘Night Driver’ will stream immediately after its TV premiere on the Virgin Media Player and air on Virgin Media One on Friday, February 25 at 11 pm.
