After Storm Éowyn: Thousands of households and businesses in Mayo are still without power, water or subsequently a chance to cook a decent meal, many organisations offer their help.
Mayo County Councillor Ger Deere published a list on social media with institutions and helpful phone numbers:
Humanitarian Assistance Scheme for Co Mayo:
Can provide some financial assistance and advice to households whose homes are damaged following a severe weather event. Contact details are as follows –

• Ballina Swimming Pool 2-4pm and 6-9pm today Monday
• Achill GAA – Shower & Cooking facilities available
• Achill Tourism Internet (10am to 4pm – ring 098 20400 first)
• Failte Room, Tithe Cois Tra, Lacken Housing Association, Carrowmore Lacken 9:30pm to 5pm – Charging point, water, hot drinks – contact Gillian at 086 2161456
• Ballyhaunis Community Centre – light, charging points, water, and toilet facilities.
• Ballyhaunis GAA Clubhouse – showers, charging points, tea & coffee.
• Knock House Hotel – showers & charging points from 8am to 8pm.
• Claremorris Tennis Club – Showers & charging points – mornings only.
• Lakeside Sports & Fitness Ballinrobe – Showers & charging points – 6:30am to 9:30pm.
