The warning comes into place at 6pm this evening, and will continue until 11am tomorrow morning, January 9.

They have again warned that conditions will be extremely cold with widespread severe frost, ice and lying snow.
They also detail impacts such as dangerous travelling conditions on roads and underfoot; travel disruption and delays and animal welfare issues

Mayo County Council has also advised people in the county to please continue to exercise extreme caution during this period.
