Met Éireann has again today advised that a further Orange Low Temperature/Ice Warning will be in place for most of the country, including Mayo, later this evening.
The warning comes into place at 6pm this evening, and will continue until 11am tomorrow morning, January 9.
They have again warned that conditions will be extremely cold with widespread severe frost, ice and lying snow.
They also detail impacts such as dangerous travelling conditions on roads and underfoot; travel disruption and delays and animal welfare issues
Mayo County Council has also advised people in the county to please continue to exercise extreme caution during this period.
A further Status Orange Low Temperature / Ice Warning will be in place from 6pm this evening, January 8th, until 11am tomorrow, Thursday Jan. 9th
