Status Yellow low temperature/ice warning announced for Mayo this evening

The weather warning begins at 8pm this evening.

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow low temperature/ice warning for Mayo from 8pm tonight (Tuesday, December 10).
The weather warning will be valid until 11am tomorrow (Wednesday, December 11) and will cover Mayo and the whole of Connaught, along with Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Offaly, Westmeath and Munster.
Met Éireann said to expect very cold conditions with minimum temperatures of -3C or lower, with sharp to severe frost and some icy stretches.
Mayo County Council have asked the public to exercise caution during the weather warning, which is scheduled to last for 15 hours.
