FIVE members of Westport United’s U-18 team have been selected to represent Connacht in the FAI Youth inter provincial competition this weekend in Limerick.
Jack O’Malley, Darragh Reynolds, Rian Durkan, Simeon Popov and Tom McGeough have been congratulated by their club after being selected to represent the province.
The five players have enjoyed impressive underage careers with both Rice College and Westport United, winning various titles with their school and club.
Their U-18 club team recently reached the quarter-finals of the prestigious FAI Youth Cup.
Rukan, Popov, O’Malley and McGeough all featured for Rice College when they reached the FAI Schools U-19 All-Ireland final with a remarkable 2-1 victory over St Paul’s College.
