It has been confirmed that Mayo rugby star Caelan Doris will remain as the captain of the Leinster rugby side for the 2025-26 season.
The news was confirmed by the side's head coach, Leo Cullen, as they continue their pre-season preparations.
The number eight, who hails from Lacken, is still in the midst of recovering from a shoulder injury, which he picked up during their loss to Northampton Saints in the Champions Cup semi-final at the tail end of last season.
Doris, aged 27, is a seasoned campaigner for club and country, having made 93 appearances since coming into the Leinster side in the 2018-19 season.
He assumed the captaincy last season, taking over from James Ryan and Garry Ringrose.
Unfortunately, it appears that the November internationals may come too soon for Doris as he battles his injury.
