The victorious Rice College Under-14 side
Rice College Under-14s can lay claim to the label of kings of Connacht rugby, as the Mayo school secured the Connacht Under-14 Schools’ title in glorious conditions today (Thursday, April 10).
The game was played at the well-appointed Ballinrobe Rugby Club’s pitch with the boys from Rice College prevailing in a 31-24 thrilling win in the final over Saint Jarlath’s College, Tuam.

It was a fine performance to scoop the title. They are coached by Claire Coughlan and Eimhin Griffith’s side. Ethan O’Donnell ran in a pair of tries and Cohan O’Grady providing accuracy from the conversions.
Also among the notable performers in the League decider were Mark O’Connor and Daire Cunningham.
