A Mayo rugby talent is currently in the mix for a spot on the Ireland U-18 squad.

Faith Durkin from Ballinrobe RFC is taking part in trials for the national squad in her age grade.

The Tourmakeady native has been showcasing her talent for Connacht Rugby U-18 on several occasions. For example in Connacht's test match against a selection from USA Rugby, when Faith captained her province to a 27-5 win over the guests from America.

Durkin will get a chance to impress in an exhibition match with the Ireland U-18 squad in Manchester over the Easter period.
