PETS’ CORNER February’s Mutt of the Month: Gala

Meet four-month-old Gala, an affectionate Terrier cross who desperately needs a new loving home

Gala

Mutt of the Month
February — Gala

Hello. My name is Gala and I am dote of a thing. I’m only about four or five months old, a Terrier cross and I came here from the pound. I have a very cute and endearing buck teeth situation going on, which results in my tongue sticking out when I am at rest. I promise you will smile when you see it, it’s adorable.
I am only little and won’t really grow much bigger. I am, in fact, the perfect lap size and I love jumping up and curling in laps for cuddles. I am a little shy, but really that is to be expected. I have had a lot to contend with in my short life, so I crave stability and assurance.
I will make an excellent family pet and will thrive in a secure and loving home. I am very clever and I am willing to listen and learn, which is really important.
I think it would be best that I go to a home with a well-secured garden, so I don’t either accidentally – or out of a desire for adventure – find myself wandering the roads alone. If you think you have a Gala-sized spot in your life, come and meet me. I would think we will get on famously.
Gala is just one of many Mayo and Galway rescue dogs at Connemara-based Mutts Anonymous Dog Rescue and Adoption (MADRA) looking for a loving home. All dogs will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please see www.madra.ie, visit MADRA’s Facebook page or call or text Marina on 086 8149026.
