PET’S CORNER November’s Mutt of the Month: Wulfric

Meet Wulfric, a big, loveable, enthusiastic dog full of character who desperately needs a new loving home

Wulfric

Mutt of the Month
November – Wulfric

Wulfric was adopted from MADRA four and a half years ago, but sadly his owners have had to make the heartbreaking decision to find him a new home due to very genuine family circumstances. So Wulfric is looking for a new family to love him as much as his present family do.
Wulfric is a big, enthusiatic loving dog who loves cuddles and gets on well with other dogs. His present owner has done lots of training with him and he is a credit to her hard work and patience.
Wulfric walks well on the lead on his harness, but gets a bit excited when he meets cyclists and other dogs on leads, so his owner has trained him to watch her when they pass exciting things like that. He will need another dog for company, as he gets lonely on his own. He has grown up with a Chihuahua, so can get on with any size of dog (and thinks he should also fit in your lap!).
He will suit an active owner. He doesn’t need huge long walks every day, but will bring you his lead and the car keys when he wants his walk and won’t accept a day off!
Wulfy is very smart and was fast to train. He knows lots of words and actions. He isn’t a bad chewer, but he does love chews and blankets to have as his own. He does have a strange fetish for slippers, so be prepared to keep buying new ones or keep them high up!
He would make an ideal family dog for a family with older children, as he is a bit too clumsy for younger ones. Do you think Wulfric could be the dog for you?

Wulfric is just one of many Mayo and Galway rescue dogs at Connemara-based Mutts Anonymous Dog Rescue and Adoption (MADRA) looking for a loving home. All dogs will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please see www.madra.ie, visit MADRA’s Facebook page or call or text Marina on 086 8149026.
