Nicky, a beautiful year-old whippet boy, is this February’s Mutt of the Month, and he’s looking for a home
Mutt of the Month
February
Hello, my name is Nicky and I’m a rather fetching and petite Whippet-cross boy (if I do say so myself!).
I’m still a youngster of around a year old, but I am mature for my young years. I’m currently being taken care of by some very nice people, but unfortunately I cannot stay here forever, as I am what they call ‘a foster dog’. I would really love a forever home, and a couch that I can call my own.
My foster mum is very pleased with my manners and I am a very welcome guest – she says I’m a fast learner, and that I am house-trained – which I think means that I do my business outside, but sure where else would I do it?
I’m not all about lazing in front of the couch, though; I do like a nice walk with a human companion and to play with other dogs and run and jump. And I have to admit I am fond of playing with stuffed toys too, so when you are coming to get me you might swing by a charity shop and pick me up a few teddies to help me settle in.
Nicky is just one of many Mayo and Galway dogs at Connemara-based Mutts Anonymous Dog Rescue and Adoption (MADRA) looking for a loving home. All dogs will be neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. Please see www.madra.ie, check out MADRA’s Facebook page or call or text Marina on 086 8149026.
