'Cows can swim?'- A video shared by a farmer in Mayo has shocked a lot of viewers

'Cows can swim?'

A farmer from Mayo has received a lot of attention from a video on social media of his cows diving off of a boat.

The farmers herd of cows can be seen jumping one by one off of a boat and into the sea on Inishkea Islands.

The cows can be seen enjoying a swim in the sea together before they then swim to the island for grazing.

The post on X from an account called Nature is Amazing received 688 comments of people shocked that cows can actually swim well, and many wondering how do they get back on the boat to go home?

One X user commented: "I would never have believed it! I knew they could swim but that's a pretty good distance for such as large animal."

Another user said, "I spent a great deal of my childhood on a farm. I had no clue cows could swim so well".
