PICTURES: Mayo town opens sensory biodiversity park

Opening of park supported by Balla Tidy Towns, Mayo County Council and South West Mayo Development Company

A big crowd turned up to the official opening of Balla Sensory Biodiversity Park, a space designed to provide a multi-sensory experience for everyone. The Sensory Park was created by Balla CRD in partnership with Balla Tidy Towns, supported by Mayo County Council and South West Mayo Development Company. The official opening was performed by Minister Alan Dillon and was attended by a number of other local politicians including Minister Dara Calleary.

“This Sensory park will be a lasting legacy for the community and all the volunteers involved in creating it” said Pat Boyle, chair of Balla Tidy Towns.
