Moore is a co-driver for the event and will be sitting alongside Qatari Abdulaziz Al-Kuwari for the duration of the three-day series, which runs from today(Friday, June 6) until Sunday.

The pair will be competing in a Citroen C3 Rally2 and have previously raced in the Qatar International Rally, which was Moore’s FIA Middle East Rally in February 2024.

The pair finished fifth on that occasion.

Moore is no stranger to the tarmac, having raced from Oman to Barbados, and even Mayo, since his first time behind the wheel, in a Mark Two Ford Escort at the Mayo Stages Rally in 2015.

Following the conclusion of the third stage on day one of racing, Al-Kuwari and Moore are in 42nd place, narrowly behind the team of Japan's Yuki Yamamoto and Cavan’s James Fulton in their Toyota GR Yaris.
