PICTURES: Who can you spot? Relive the magic of Electric Picnic from this weekend last year

Electric Picnic is just weeks away, but before the gates swing open for Ireland's biggest music festival, we're taking a look back at the magic of last year's opening day.

Held two weeks earlier than its usual late-August/early-September slot, 2024's festival saw tens of thousands of music lovers descend on Stradbally, Co Laois for a weekend of world-class acts and even better craic.

Our gallery by photographer Alf Harvey shows festivalgoers arriving with camping gear in tow, kitted out in their finest festival fashion. From glitter and bucket hats to statement sunnies, punters brought serious style to the sprawling Stradbally site.

This year's line-up is just as stacked with Hozier, Chappell Roan, Sam Fender, Fatboy Slim and Kings of Leon topping the bill.

So, as the countdown to Electric Picnic 2025 continues, get in the mood by reliving Day 1 of last year's festival in our photo gallery, and let us know if you spot yourself among the smiling faces!
