Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard has been delighting fans across Ireland after dropping into two popular pubs during his recent visit to the country.
The former England and Liverpool captain posed for photos on Sunday with supporters at The Becks Pub in Cushenstown, Garristown, Co Meath, surprising locals and young fans who were thrilled to meet the football legend.
The Becks Pub shared a snap of the visit on Instagram, writing: "Surprise visit from this legend on Sunday. Mr. @stevengerrard thanks for dropping into @thebecks__ & giving your time to everyone. YNWA."

The photo shows Gerrard smiling alongside three kids, two proudly sporting their Meath GAA jerseys, adding a local touch to the Anfield hero's Irish trip.
Gerrard was also spotted in the capital at The Black Forge Inn, UFC star Conor McGregor's famous Dublin pub in Crumlin. Head chef Ed Raethorne shared photos on Instagram showing Gerrard smiling and chatting with fans inside the venue.

It's not the first time Gerrard has visited McGregor's bar, having previously popped in on St Patrick's Day 2023.
Gerrard's Irish appearances come hot on the heels of his live show at Dublin's Vicar Street, where he celebrated the 20th anniversary of Liverpool's unforgettable 2005 Champions League triumph in Istanbul.
During the event held last Friday, Gerrard reminisced about the famous comeback win over AC Milan and shared behind-the-scenes stories from his glittering career.
The ex-Liverpool skipper, who parted ways with Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq earlier this year, remains a hugely popular figure among Irish fans.
