Kneecap announced as finale for exciting Moonlit Movies series in Offaly

Kneecap will play in November

Amid controversy following their Coachella gig, Kneecap's manager, Daniel Lambert  sat down with Miriam O'Callaghan to discuss the situation the Irish band find themselves in.

He starts the clip by saying as the conflict in Gaza continues all people seem to be talking about is Kneecap.

"Children are starving to death and we're spending six or seven days speaking about kneecap."

Daniel then goes on to praise the way the band are handling the noise circulating around them

"the last few days have been very challenging and to the massive credit of the three lads and it's something that hasn't been said, at no point have they had any concern for their own income, for their own careers, for their own futures and at every point they have the absolute conviction that they are doing the right thing and they stand on the right side of history."

He then talks about how the band are held to a "higher moral account than politicians."

"Keir Starmer was an international lawyer. He said that Israel had a right to cut water and food into Gaza. They do not. Children are starving to death, and we're spending six or seven days speaking about Kneecap."

Comments under the clip from Prime Time are split in their support of Kneecap with users writing:

"You and Kneecap needed to apologise for what was said by the band on stage over the course of a year, and show you understand of the gravity of what you said "

Another reads:

"Well said by Daniel Lambert . This has actually become a much different issue now . Totally about censorship of musicians and artists ! Which would send a shiver down the spine of any young artist setting out on their artistic journey."
