Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary gets surprise extra 'charge' on bill at Irish restaurant

The Ryanair CEO was dining at the popular Luvida Restaurant in Navan, Co Meath

An Irish restaurant has poked fun at Ryanair CEO Michael O'Leary after adding a few 'extra charges' to his food bill recently.

Luvida Restaurant in Navan made the most of the opportunity when O'Leary visited their restaurant recently as they presented him with his bill.

The bill included charges for extra leg space, priority booth seating and a quiet area. The charges totalled €37.85 but were in fact just a joke as the restaurant didn't apply them to the bill Mr O'Leary paid.

Ryanair is famous as a budget airline with cheap flights but some extra costs like choosing a specific seat, baggage costs, etc. Some people were quick to comment on the joke with one saying, "that's brilliant."

It's clear Michael O'Leary saw the funny side too as he posed for a photograph with staff. The picture was posted to social media with a post thanking Mr O'Leary for choosing Luvida.

The post read: "Thank you to Michael O'Leary for choosing to dine with us tonight! It was a pleasure to host you. Hope you don't mind us adding some additional charges to your bill for extra leg space, priority booth seating and quiet area reservation."

The restaurant also revealed Mr O'Leary was not frugal when it came to leaving a tip!
