€3m worth of cocaine found in crate of bananas at Irish Port

Revenue officers have seized approximately 43kgs of cocaine with an estimated value of €3 million at the Port of Cork today, Wednesday, December 11.

The illicit drugs were discovered, as a result of risk profiling, in a container of bananas which originated in South America.

Investigations are ongoing.

This seizure is part of Revenue's ongoing operations targeting the importation of illegal drugs.
