Motorcyclist in his 40s killed in early morning road crash
Incident occurred shortly before 8am between a motorcycle and truck

A man in his 40s has been pronounced dead following a fatal road crash in Co Cork.
This Wednesday, shortly before 8am, gardaí and emergency services attended the scene of a fatal road traffic collision involving a motorcycle and a truck.
The incident happened at Toureenfineen, Co Cork. The motorcyclist, a man in his 40s, was fatally injured. No other injuries have been reported.
The man's body will be removed to Cork University Hospital where a post-mortem will take place.
The road remains closed at this time. Local diversions are currently in place.
Garda forensic collision investigators are currently carrying out their examination of the scene.
Gardaí are appealing to any person who may have witnessed this collision to contact them. Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time are asked to make this available to gardaí.
