Fans of MMA fighter and businessman Conor McGregor have expressed shock at the cost of tickets to his comeback fight.
Tickets to the controversial figure's fight with Michael 'Iron' Chandler are reportedly being sold for up to $12,000 for VIP packages, with the lowest price available reportedly set at $405.
According to MMA Junkie, the cheapest ticket for the fight will allow fans to sit in the upper levels of the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada to watch the fight.
The next cheapest prices are $505, $605 $704 and $1005 respectively, and continue in rising increments.
Fans online expressed their shock at the cost of the tickets, with one X user stating, "Seems crazy that prices will be double what they were for the 300 show."
Another commented, "UFC tickets [have] been too expensive for years now."
Another X user described the price of the tickets as "definitely out of my league".
However, not all fans thought the price was unreasonable, with one X user commenting, "They're going to try to break the gate record. As they should. Cause people will pay. They could charge 12k for the worst ticket and the place would be sold out."
The match will be the first time McGregor enters the ring since suffering a serious leg injury during a match with Dustin Poirier in 2021, and the fighter will be hoping to snag his first win since 2020.
It is due to take place on June 29, 2024 as part of UFC 303.
General admission tickets are due to go on sale on Friday (April 26).
