Carlow family appeal for help to get 'specialised wheelchair' for their uncle

A Carlow family has appealed for the public's help as their "bed-ridden" uncle needs a specialised wheelchair.
His niece, Holly Lewis said her uncle was unable to walk or get out of bed and now requires a specialised wheelchair to fit his body.
She explained: "The wheelchair that he requires is a specialised wheelchair that needs to be fit to his body, unfortunately this is going to cost a lot and our family is just unable to raise the costs as we are paying for his other medical treatments and bills.
For the last 15 months, my uncle has been bedridden due to being neglected by mental health professionals and health care professionals."
After a fall, her uncle was found three days later on the floor.
"We were told he was a day away from passing when he was found. Thanks to his neighbour, he was brought to hospital. We were told he only had a few days left to live, fortunately this was not the case. Due to him suffering from mental health problems and extensive medical conditions, the hospital didn’t seem to value him or his life. He was basically left in the hospital bed to die. Thankfully he survived and is now in a nursing home but is unfortunately unable to get out of bed and walk nor is unable to shower and care for himself as his arm is deformed due to an injury he had a few years ago."
