Mayo Mountain Rescue called to assist female on Croagh Patrick

Mayo Mountain Rescue team was called to assist a female who was climbing Croagh Patrick yesterday, Sunday, September 29, at 3:00 pm.

The incident occurred on the steps near the summit, where the woman slipped and sustained injury, preventing her from descending the mountain.

Two former Mountain Rescue team members, Francis and Dick, who were on their way down, stopped to help the woman.

Mayo Mountain Rescue followed at 4:30 pm, where they then provided emergency care. The female was then stretchered to a waiting ambulance and conveyed to Mayo University Hospital.
