A sense of excitement fell over The Ivy Tower Hotel in Castlebar this afternoon when Ray Moylette weighed in for tomorrow night's big fight. The former World and European amateur champion will box for the last time in front of a packed house in The TF Royal and he can't wait to get into the ring.

"I'm excited and nervous and anxious. I'm fighting on my own patch, in my own home town again. I have to impress. I want to impress and it's an important night for me. I have to make sure I do it right," the Islandeady man told The Mayo News in front of a very healthy crowd of fans, family and well-wishers.

"There's great excitement around the place and now I can concentrate on the fight itself. The last couple of months was training, sparring and preparing. The last few days was all about making sure I made the weight and now it's all about the fight itself."

Is he looking forward to the big roar from the home crowd when he walks out for his fight with Facundo Arce tomorrow night. "I don't know what to expect really. I hope there's a might atmosphere in the place but whether it's packed to capacity or there's nobody there I have to perform. It's as simple as that," he stated before being asked will the late change in opponent throw his plans off course.

"No! We always had Facundo in the background. We wanted to be certain the event would take place, so we had him ready to go all the time. That's how much planning we put into tomorrow night's show. Tinklin pulled out last week, so Facundo was on the plane straight away.

"He's a much tougher opponent than Tinklin. He has a different record, but he's deadly dangerous with seven straight knock-outs in his 17 wins. It will be tough, but I'll give it everything and see where that takes me," he concluded.

The 'Once Upon a Time in The West' show boasts a very impressive fight card with top-class heavyweights Dillian Whyte and Christian Hammer meeting in a bout which has attracted worldwide attention. Impressive Irish fighters Spike O'Sullivan and Thomas Carty will also grace the ring in Castlebar where ogranisers expect a packed house to roar on the fighters.
