St. Muredach's Ballina are eyeing the first national double
The stage is set for tomorrow's Basketball All-Ireland Schools League Final.
'It is a script Steven Spielberg could not have written' says Barry Murphy. And the coach of St. Muredach's U-19 Boys is not exaggerating.
Only five weeks ago the Ballina outfit won the prestigious Schools Cup against Pres DLS Bagenalstown in St. Muredach's first final in 17 years. And tomorrow the same two teams will face each other again to compete for the League crown.
'We can create history tomorrow by winning the double for the first time' explains Murphy the importance of the occasion.
The school is buzzing and this time there will be even more supporters making the journey to Tallaght than the first time out in January. Around 100 supporters are expected to create a fantastic atmosphere for the Moysiders.
The match will be shown live with tip-off at 2pm on the Basketball Ireland website.
