Westport's Lee Keegan and Garrymore's Ciaran McGrath will meet again in next weekend's Mayo SFL Division 1 semi-final.
NEXT weekend’s Mayo Senior League semi-finals will serve to whet the appetite ahead of the start of the club championships which are now less than five weeks away.
Both Division 1 semi-finals will be played next Saturday evening at 7pm with county champions Westport at home to Garrymore and Knockmore welcoming Castlebar Mitchels to St Joseph’s Park.
In the Division 2 semi-finals, which are also being played on Saturday evening, Balla will entertain Belmullet while Ballyhaunis will travel to Foxford to take on Moy Davitts.
Moy Davitts were given a walk-over in last weekend’s quarter-final after Kilmeena conceded the fixture. The Mayo News understands that the West Mayo club informed the relevant Mayo GAA officials last Monday but Moy Davitts only became aware of the concession on Saturday afternoon last.
Meanwhile, Kilmaine are at home to Killala in next Saturday evening’s Division 2 relegation play-off.
The Division 3 league semi-finals will see Swinford welcome Ardnaree to Robert McCallion Memorial Park on Saturday evening with Knockmore facing Ardagh on Sunday at 12noon.
The Division 4 quarter-finals have pitted Claremorris B against Moygownagh, Kilmovee against Kilmeena B and Lacken against Davitts B — all on Saturday evening.
Then on Sunday, Burrishoole B face Balla B in Newport at 12noon.
In the relegation play-off, Westport C are up against Crossmolina B in Bangor.
Three of four Division 5 quarter-finals will be played on Friday evening at 8pm; Aghamore B v Kilmaine B; Killala B v Bonniconlon B; and Garrymore B v Ballinrobe B.
The meeting of Louisburgh B and Ardnaree B will be played on Sunday at 1pm in Louisburgh.
