Turas na mBan 2026 will take place at the Erris Coast Hotel on May 8 and 9.
One of Co. Mayo’s most anticipated cultural events is set to return this May, as Turas na mBan 2026 takes place on May 8 and 9 along the scenic Wild Atlantic Way.
The event, organised by Justin Sammon, CEO of Mayo North East, will be hosted at the Erris Coast Hotel, providing a stunning coastal backdrop for the two-day programme.
Turas na mBan 2026 has become known as one of Mayo’s largest inclusive and socially focused gatherings, bringing together speakers, contributors and attendees to celebrate the role of women in Irish society, both past and present.
The event aims to highlight what organisers describe as the often “underestimated, undervalued and under-acknowledged” contributions of women across all areas of life — from the home and workplace to community leadership and global influence.
Over the course of the two days, participants will engage in discussions and presentations that explore women’s achievements and experiences across generations, while also promoting greater recognition and inclusion.

Organisers say the event continues to grow in significance each year, offering a platform for meaningful conversation and celebration.
Set against the dramatic landscape of the Wild Atlantic Way, this year’s gathering is expected to attract visitors from across the region and beyond, further cementing its reputation as a must-attend event in Mayo’s cultural calendar.
