A traditional Irish flute maker from Mayo is set to appear on Nationwide this evening, Friday, February 20, on RTÉ.
Michael Cronnolly, who works from his workshop just outside Swinford, has earned a strong reputation for crafting traditional Irish flutes.
The Killasser native made his first flute from the spoke of a cartwheel in his garden shed almost five decades ago.

Now committed to keeping the craft alive, Michael is passing his skills on to the next generation, teaching his grandson Ross the art of flute making.
Reporter Tommy Stenson recently visited Michael’s workshop in Killasser for the programme, which airs at 7pm tonight on RTÉ One.
