The organisers of the Swinford Agricultural Show are delighted to announce that the 2026 Agricultural Show will take place on Sunday, August 23, at the Tony Gleeson’s Farm in Cullane, Swinford, Co Mayo.

Following the phenomenal success of the 2025 Show, the first to be held at the new field, anticipation is already building for what promises to be the biggest and most exciting event in the show’s long history. Last year’s move to Gleeson’s Farm brought record crowds, expanded exhibition space, and overwhelmingly positive feedback from attendees, exhibitors, and competitors alike.

Building on that momentum, the 2026 Show Committee has been working tirelessly to deliver an even more action-packed programme, with new events, expanded competitions, enhanced family entertainment, and a host of additional attractions designed to celebrate the very best of rural life, agriculture, and community spirit.

What to Expect in 2026

  • New agricultural demonstrations and machinery showcases
  • Additional food, craft, and artisan producer zones
  • More children’s entertainment and family-friendly activities
  • Live music, cultural displays, and community performances
  • Special feature events to be announced in the coming months

Show Chairperson Andy Madden said: “The response to last year’s show exceeded all expectations. The new showgrounds opened up incredible possibilities, and for 2026 we’re taking things even further. This year’s show will be bigger, better, and busier than ever. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to Gleeson’s Farm.”

The Swinford Agricultural Show remains one of the region’s most cherished annual events, bringing together farming families, local businesses, community groups, and visitors from across the country.

Further details, including the full programme of events, entry information, and ticketing updates, will be released in the coming weeks.
