Significant funds raised for Mayo Roscommon Hospice in memory of Meabh Feerick

Mayo Roscommon Hospice has recently received a generous donation of €5,686 from Saoirse Burke.

Saoirse ran the Border Half Marathon in aid of Mayo Roscommon Hospice in loving memory of her very close friend, Meabh Feerick. Meabh passed away in November 2021.

Meadh Feerick from Ballinrobe was diagnosed with advanced and aggressive melanoma, a form of skin cancer, in December 2020. Meabh was living and working in Sydney while raising her three-year-old son, Noah, at the time of her diagnosis. 

Saoirse recently presented the cheque to Martina Jennings, CEO of the Mayo Roscommon Hospice Foundation. Mayo Roscommon Hospice expressed their thanks to Saoirse for her “incredible kindness and generosity”
