Mayo abbey hosts special 'Voices of the Centenaries' concert

An audience of almost 200 people attended a special evening of music with vocal ensemble Resurgam at Ballintubber Abbey on Sunday, November 9. The concert, entitled Voices of the Centenaries, was part of Mayo County Council’s Commemorative Programme 2025.

The event was led by Resurgam artistic director Mark Duley, and included performances from Aisling Kenny (soprano), Steve Wallace (alto), Rory Lynch (tenor) and William Gaunt (bass). There were also performances from the Galway-based chamber choir Collegium alongside musicians Malcolm Proud (organ) and Siobhán Armstrong (harp).

The Commemorations Unit of the Department of Culture, Communication and Sport funded this concert.
