Scoil Phádraig in Westport, as well as other Mayo schools, joined thousands across Ireland in wearing their favourite jerseys, whether for their local GAA club, county team, or national side, to raise funds and awareness for GOAL’s global humanitarian mission.
To date, schools participating in Jersey Day 2025 have raised €111,500, while businesses have contributed €43,300.These funds will go directly towards GOAL’s programmes providing food, clean water, shelter, and essential services in crisis-affected regions.

Speaking about the success of Jersey Day, Nafisa Brennan, GOAL’s Senior Fundraising Manager, said: “Every year, Jersey Day offers an opportunity for all those who participate to wear their colours with pride while fostering a sense of camaraderie in school or in the workplace. By doing so, they play a vital role in supporting GOAL’s mission to help some of the world’s most vulnerable communities move from extreme crisis to resilience, where everyone has equal rights and opportunities.
