Logboy National School bid farewell to secretary Joelyn McGuire.
LOGBOY National School in Mayo paid a fond farewell tribute to Joelyn McGuire who retired as school secretary last week.
During that time, Joelyn was at the heart of the community life of the school and many warm tributes have been paid to her for her kindness and dedication to all aspects of the life of the school.
A statement issued by the staff and Board of Management conveyed the gratitude felt by so many in relation to Joelyn’s service to the school over the last few years.
“Today, we said a very special goodbye to our wonderful school secretary, Joelyn, who has been at the heart of Logboy School for over seven years.
“Joelyn’s kindness, dedication, and endless support have touched every part of our school community. From her warm welcome in the office each morning to the care she’s shown for every child, parent, and staff member - she has truly been the heartbeat of our school.
"We are so grateful for everything she has contributed over the years, her love for the children, her patience, and her constant willingness to help wherever she was needed. A huge thank you to our amazing Parents Association for the beautiful bouquet they gave to Joelyn today.
“Joelyn, we will miss you dearly, but we know you’ll bring your warmth and positivity to every new adventure that awaits you. Wishing you all the very best in the exciting journey ahead! With love and gratitude from all at Logboy School.”
