Mayo included in list of counties for Status Yellow weather warning

The warning is set to come into effect for 14 counties from tomorrow morning

Mayo informed to prepare ahead of Status Yellow weather warning

The Status Yellow Weather Warning from Met Éireann is in place for Munster, Connacht, Cavan, Donegal, and Longford

The people of Mayo are being encouraged to bring their raincoats and umbrellas with them throughout tomorrow (Thursday, October 2), as Met Éireann have issued a Status Yellow rainfall warning for the county.

The warning from the meteorological service is set to come into effect at 6 am and end at 8 pm.

The warning also covers the rest of Connacht (Galway, Roscommon, Sligo, and Leitrim), the entirety of Munster (Kerry, Cork, Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford), as well as Longford, Donegal, and Cavan.

Met Éireann also wish to warn road users and commuters of potentially hazardous travelling conditions, as well as potential localised floooding in different regions.

The weather group also advise that people keep an eye on their website for more information on updates to their forecast.
