Earlier this year, members of the Leach family climbed Croagh Patrick in remembrance of their loved one Paul Leach who passed away in late February of 2024. The family raised €2,300 which they kindly donated to the HSE Rural Training Centre located in Castlebar, County Mayo.
The HSE Rural Training Centre forms part of Mayo Mental Health Services Social Inclusion Programme. The centre offers a non-medical, holistic environment where service users are supported on their recovery journey by developing independence, skills, and interests along with an opportunity to enhance social inclusion. The main activities at the centre involve gardening, horticulture, art, crafts and catering with a strong focus on engagement with nature.
