An Garda Síóchána and the emergency services are responding to a 'serious' road traffic collision on the N17 near the Mayo-Galway border.
The incident occurred this morning (Friday, September 18) on the Ballindine to Milltown road, in the townland of Drum.
The road is closed at present, with diversions in place around the scene of the collision. Commuters will be diverted in Ballindine via Irishtown and Dunmore.
Gardaí are expected to be at the scene for a number of hours.
No further information is available at present.
