Mayo County Council have revealed that roadworks between two towns in the north of the county are set to cause delays for commuters.

In a statement, it was confirmed that the R-315, between Crossmolina and Ballycastle, will close from today (Tuesday, September 9) to Thursday, September 11, in order to facilitate pavement overlay works.

The works will be undertaken in the Enaghmore townland. Local road diversions will be in place for the duration of the works.

Minor delays are to be expected for the three days of works, with commuters advised to allow extra time for their travels.
