A road between two East Mayo towns is set for closure for the duration of a late-Augustweek in order to facilitate road repairs.
From Monday, August 25, to Friday, August 29, a section of the R-323, which services those travelling between Knock and Ballyhaunis, will close to allow vital roadworks to take place in the Carrownnamalaght townland.

Diversions will be in place for the duration of the works via Claremorris, with the N17 and N60 remaining open for commuters. The road via Cloonacurry and Loughanboy will also be open.
It is advised that commuters allow for extra time on their travels.
