Mayo road users have been warned to expect delays and potential closures as roadworks starting tomorrow (Tuesday, July 22) are due to extend into next week.

Commuters in the Kiltimagh area are advised to avoid using the Knock Road (also known as the R-323) in the coming weeks, with the repair works set to last until Friday, August 8.

The route between the two towns will have traffic management systems in place throughout. However, there may be full closures of the works at some stages. In that instance, diversions and alternate routes will be made available.

Commuters are also asked to make extra time for their travels, while emergency vehicles will be accommodated, if necessary.
