Multiple cyclists hospitalised in wake of Mayo crash

An Garda Síochána attended the scene of the collision, which is reported to have involved a vehicle and nine cyclists

Two people have been hospitalised after a collision in Knockmore, which is reported to have included a vehicle and nine cyclists.

At around 7pm on Thursday, July 17, An Garda Síochána in Mayo and the emergency services attended the scene of an accident on the R310 route in Knockmore.

Two men, who were understood to be cyclists aged in their 30s and 40s, were taken to Mayo University Hospital as a precautionary measure.

Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash are ongoing.
