Rich Ensoll and Johan Hoving, who are canoeing around Ireland to fundraise for Oxfam.
Two British adventurers aiming to canoe around the coast of Ireland in the name of charity have been spotted off the Mayo coast.
On Tuesday, July 1, Rich Ensoll and Johan Hoving set off from Crosshaven Marina in Cork. Their ambition is to circumnavigate the entirety of Ireland and make it back to their starting point.

The ambitious endeavour is being undertaken for a good cause, with the duo raising funds for Oxfam along the way.
Ensoll and Hoving are well on their way, having gone along the Cork, Kerry, Clare, and Galway coasts thus far.
Now, they are approaching County Mayo. At the time of writing, their tracking system shows them approaching Inishturk, having departed Clifden earlier in the day.
Their boat, called 'Ronan', was crafted in Ireland and will serve them well on their journey.
“Canoeing Round Ireland is a hopeful exercise on slowing down, embracing the unknown, and reconnecting with nature to raise funds for impactful causes,” said Rich Ensoll, Senior Lecturer in Outdoor Studies at the University of Cumbria. “We will do our very best to weather choppy seas to do our part in making the world a better place.”
