Road pavement works are set to lead to closures in north Mayo, according to Mayo County Council.

Earlier today (Wednesday, July 2), the Council confirmed that roadworks are set to take place on the L-1313 in the Tullyroe townland.

The stretch of road will be closed to facilitate the necessary repairs, and diversions are in place throughout the works on Thursday, July 3, and Friday, July 4.

Motorists have been advised by the authorities to use alternative routes in the area, with the L-5348 through Meelick and the L-19196 through Lecarrow remaining open to access the N5.
