Alternative routes will be available for the duration of the closure, which is set to be in place for two days

Diversions are set to be implemented on a route to Swinford as Mayo County Council have announced a road closure on a road to the town.

On Thursday, July 3, the L1901 between Ballinlag and Swinford is scheduled to close to allow necessary roadworks to take place.

The road will be closed during the day, with diversions set to be in operation for commuters.

Those travelling between the two areas will be advised to use alternative routes, with the Treenabontry Road, the R321, and the R320 remaining open.
