It has been confirmed that roadworks are set to close a stretch of Mayo road for twelve days.
In a statement on social media, Mayo County Council confirmed that the stretch of road between Pontoon and Knockmore is set to close from Monday, June 30, and will remain closed until Friday, July 11, in order to allow repairs to the route.

The closure on the R310 will take place outside the former Healy’s Hotel.
Traffic management will be in place at the site. However, delays are to be anticipated, with commuters advised to use alternative routes on their journeys.
