Keem Bay, on Achill Island, is accessed via the R319. The road is set to undergo roadworks this weekend.
Achill Island is due to undergo a series of road works in the coming weeks, according to Mayo County Council.
Firstly, the works on the L5447 and L5448 at Ballanasally got underway yesterday (Tuesday, May 13). The repair works will finish up tomorrow, May 15.

Also, the R319 road in Achill will be undergoing works from Friday, May 16, until Friday, May 23.
Traffic controls will be in operation on all three roads, with delays to be expected.
It is anticipated that the works will significantly impact traffic levels over the course of the coming weekend.
On weekends where the weather is at its best, as is forecast this weekend, many people flock to the iconic Keem Bay via the R319.
