Aghamore Vintage Day set to draw in big Mayo crowds

Stuart Moyles from Ardagh, will be performing at the event

All the plans are in place for hosting the Aghamore Vintage Day on Sunday, April 28. The venture has put down firm roots over the last three years, and committee members are confident that it will once again prove a major attraction with entrants coming from all over Connacht and various parts of the country.

The Aghamore campus is the site for this major event, which also has the added attraction of all the tractors that are taking part in ‘The Grey Run’ from Longford to Mayo and that are due to arrive on Saturday.

Apart from the fine selection of vintage material that will be on display throughout the day including steam engines and the vintage tractors, the afternoon will also feature a cattle show, horse and tractor ploughing, auto jumble, bouncy castles and much more.

Midwest Radio will broadcast from the venue between 11 pm and 1 pm and will keep listeners fully up to date with events in the village. A devoted team of stewards will be in place to coordinate parking, and access to the venue should be no problem for anyone.  Gates open at 11 am, and most of the action takes place during the afternoon. Stuart Moyles from Ardagh, Crossmolina, will provide music and song for the patrons.
