Over the course of the last six years, Pamela captured 58 islands around the nation in her artwork. Thirty paintings will be exhibited at the launch of the project, titled ‘Ar an Imeall - On The Edge’ in Kilcock Art Gallery, Kildare, on Saturday, April 26.
Those travelling from the West passing by Kilcock, on the edge of the Kildare/Meath border, will have plenty of opportunity to view some of the iconic landscapes of Mayo in the art gallery until Wednesday, June 7. From 11 am - 4 pm from Tuesday to Saturday.
The artist, Pamela de Brí, spoke of her love of the country’s topography, which takes centre stage in her work.
“This is a celebration of our islands,” she stated. “Their stories explore gloriously rich history, anchored in six years of comprehensive research but delivered with a sense of respect and appreciation.”
