New studies have revealed that Mayo is one of the best counties in Ireland if you are looking for a great work-life balance.
The findings, from switcher.ie, shine a positive light on Mayo as a place to live, and use criteria such as the crime rate, number of primary schools and house prices.
Mayo was near the top of the table, sitting fourth for balancing work and family life. These metrics were determined using statistics surrounding house prices, crime rate, number of GP surgeries and primary schools.
Eoin Clarke who is the commercial director of Swicher.ie, stated that the new ability to work from home due to new regulations is important to those with families.
“Workers with families or caregiving responsibilities can now seek remote or flexible work options, providing a better quality of life, and even financial benefits,” he stated.
The survey also found that Mayo is one of the best places in the country to shop or get a meal. The county scored 5th, taking into account the number of restaurants and supermarkets in each county.
It was overall a positive survey for the county. That being said, the areas in which Mayo scored poorly were transport and telecommunications. Notably, the average fixed broadband speed of 67.87 megabytes per second made Mayo the worst in the country.
